This year we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to recruit 120 new Tee Ball players.

While this may seem like a huge number of players there is opportunity to extend Tee-Ball over the next season and beyond by adding a coach pitch league. This is great for players who are slightly more experienced and its good prep for the next grade.

While we want to see increased numbers at all levels, the reality is that like most sports baseball, as far as numbers, there is a pyramid. The wider the base, the more players there are in the upper grades. And! This makes for exciting and healthy competition at all levels. 

To achieve this we are following a 3 pronged approach

1.    Tee Ball in Schools

Jenny and Michael Long are running this program and in it there well be over the period of two months a series of in school trainings and finishing with an interschool tournament.

This year we are focusing on younger players as part of our recruiting drive.

Now I know they are looking for help so don’t be afraid to put your foot forward and see if you can lend a hand.

2.    Advertising/Advertorial

Last year almost of third of our new players advised that they had come due to the adverts in the papers so this year we are going to expand this possibility. So keep an eye out for these over August and September

3.    Flyers/Signage

Starting in August we will be putting up a lot of posters around the players and distributing flyers, especially in the area around HP DiamondBlacks Ball Park. We want to distribute to other sports activities as well so if you can help us by distributing to your winter sport team let us know. Contact John
