HP has always been proactive in planning and producing developments at the HP Diamondblacks ball fields. It would surprise Players and Parents to know how much resource the Field Development program takes. It is because of an ongoing working relationship with the Council and HP Baseball that we have the only Dedicated Ball Park in the North Island.

The core Field Development team this year is Tony Corkery, Mark Irwin and John Stephney. As you can see from the scheduled projects below WE NEED HELP!! By this we need Architects, draftsmen, builders, sheet metal skills, concreters’, electricians’, plumbers, drain layers, fencing skills and more.

1. Place dug-outs on each field providing protection and benefit for players from all clubs participating in events at the field. See Drawing.
2. Placement of Spectator seating to the benefit of all baseball fans
3. Back Stop upgrades to Diamond #1.
4. A replacement storage Facility
5. A batting cage 4mtrs wide by 20mtrs.
6. A new U10-12 field at the right field fence of #1.
7. A new baseline fence on #3.
8. Signage for the HOME OF THE HP DIAMOND BLACKS
9. New Electrical/Water service to each of the fields.

Again these only happen as people get involved. If your player is young and loving the game, then involvement in this project will mean the best playing facilities for you player(s).
